Background Summary: The City traditionally purchases vehicles and equipment through bids from the Florida Sheriffs Association's annual contract. Public Works has researched pricing throughout the State and has found the State of Florida's Department of Management Services contract for Agriculture and Lawn Equipment provides the lowest competitively bid pricing for requested equipment. The following pieces of equipment are incorporated in the approved budget for purchase: • 1 —Toro Sand Pro/Infield Pro 3040 groomer @ $17,632.01 (Park Maintenance — New). • 2 —Toro 60" Zero Turn Mowers @ $9,081.98 each = $18,163.96 (Park Maintenance — New). Public Works recommends approval to purchase the above items from the Florida Department of Management Services annual contract based on the current published pricing. Issue: Request the City Commission to approve acquisition of the budgeted 2016/2017 out-right purchase equipment for Parks Maintenance. Recommendations: Recommend approval to purchase the following vehicles from the Florida's Department of Management Services' annual contract for Agriculture and Lawn Equipment No.: 21100000-15-1; 1 — Toro Sand Pro/Infield Pro 3040 groomer @ $17,632.01 (Park Maintenance — New) and 2 — Toro 60" Zero Turn Mowers @ $9,081.98 each = $18,163.96 (Park Maintenance — New). Financial Impact: The cost of the groomer is $1,632.01 over the amount allocated in the budget, however the mowers are sufficiently under budget to adequately cover the additional cost. The total aggregate cost of the three (3) vehicles is adequately funded in the 2016/2017 Department budget.
