Background Summary:
Members of the Citizen Advisory Council for Ocoee Police Department (CACOPD) serve three-year terms.
The Resolution creating the Board allows no more than fifteen (15) members. Currently, the Board has ten (10)
members.
An application has been received by Warren A. Lewis who is a resident of District 1, and has shown an interest
in being appointed to the CACOPD for a term ending January 2020.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and Commissioners appoint Warren A. Lewis to the CACOPD to serve a three-
year term ending January 2020?
Recommendations:
Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners consider appointing Warren A. Lewis to
serve a three-year term on the CACOPD ending January 2020.

2015,after having served more than 40 years in Federal Law Enforcement,and
moved to Winter Garden, FL. In December 2016,we purchased a residence in the
Westyn Bay Community of Ocoee, FL and have been Ocoee residents since that time.
