Home My WebLink About05-27-2003 Minutes MINUTES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING MAY 27, 2003 CALL TO ORDER Vice-Chairman Lenko called the regular meeting of the Ocoee Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. Vice-Chairman Lenko led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and Member Donenfeld led the Invocation. The roll was called and a quorum was declared present. PRESENT: Vice-Chairman Lenko, Members Chancey, Donenfeld, Godek, Henderson, Konicek, and Stanley. Also present were Enforcement Officers Loeffler Simon, and Siegrist, Permitting Clerk Ramos, Attorney Sneed, and Deputy City Clerk Maxwell. ABSENT: Chairman Linebarier and Member Skiles, who were excused. CONSENT AGENDA ALL MA 1 IERS LISTED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDA ARE CONSIDERED TO BE ROUTINE BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD AND WILL BE ACTED UPON BY ONE MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSION OF THESE ITEMS UNLESS DISCUSSION IS DESIRED BY A MEMBER OF THE BOARD,IN WHICH CASE THE CHAIRMAN WILL INSTRUCT THE BOARD CLERK TO REMOVE THE ITEM FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA AND SUCH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY. The Consent Agenda consisted of approval of Items A, B and C. A. Minutes of the Code Enforcement Board Regular Meeting held on Tuesday,April 27, 2003. B. Order of Continuance—(Meeting: June 24, 2003) -None C. Order of Dismissal-None Member Konicek, seconded by Member Henderson, moved to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Motion carried 7-0. Motion carried 7-0. Member Konicek, seconded by Member Henderson, moved in hear Case No. 00-025 as the first item on the agenda. Motion carried 7-0. Case No. 00-025 -Joseph J. Allegretti& Fred J. One,blue Honda with no tag. Code Enforcement Officer Loeffler stated Respondent is a repeat violator and the property is in compliance. Respondent, Joseph Allegretti, having been sworn, stated he had been living out of state assisting his ailing grandmother and did not know there was a lien on his property until he tried to sell the property. Discussion ensued regarding vehicles parked in residential areas. Member Chancey, seconded by Member Henderson, moved in Case No. 00-025 to reduce the fine to $300 if the fine is paid by June 6, 2003, or the fine will revert back to the original fine of$2,200. Member Godek, seconded by Member Konicek, moved in Case No. 03-033 to find the Respondents in violation of Section 165-3 as of April 4, 2003, but in compliance as of May 21, 2003, and no fine imposed. Motion carried 7-0. Member Konicek, seconded by Member Chancey, moved in Case Nos. 03-037 and 03-038 to combine testimony as same. Motion carried 7-0. Member Chancey, seconded by Member Donenfeld, moved in Case No. 03-001365 to find the Respondent in violation of Sections 108-23Q, 108-23J, and 115-5 as of May 4, 2003, and in compliance of Section 115-5 as of May 27, 2003, but to give until June 10, 2003, to comply or impose fine of$50 per day.
