Home My WebLink About07-22-2003 Minutes MINUTES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING JULY 22, 2003 CALL TO ORDER Chairman Linebarier called the regular meeting of the Ocoee Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. Chairman Linebarier led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the Invocation. The roll was called and a quorum was declared present. PRESENT: Chairman Linebarier, Members Chancey, Donenfeld, Godek, Konicek, and Member Stanley. Also present were Building & Zoning Official Phelps, Enforcement Officers Loeffler and Siegrist, Permitting Clerk Ramos, Attorney Sneed, and Deputy City Clerk Maxwell. ABSENT: Vice-Chairman Lenko and Member Henderson, who were excused and Member Skiles, who was unexcused. CONSENT AGENDA ALL MATTERS LISTED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDA ARE CONSIDERED TO BE ROUTINE BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD AND WILL BE ACTED UPON BY ONE MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSION OF THESE ITEMS UNLESS DISCUSSION IS DESIRED BY A MEMBER OF THE BOARD,IN WHICH CASE THE CHAIRMAN WILL INSTRUCT THE BOARD CLERK TO REMOVE THE ITEM FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA AND SUCH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY. Code Enforcement Officer Siegrist, presented exhibits, gave a detailed history of the Case and stated the property is in non-compliance. Respondent, Consuelo Garcia—Starnes, having been sworn, stated she took possession of the property on July 14, 2003, and immediately began cleaning up the property, which would be completed by July 25, 2003. Member Chancey, seconded by Member Konicek, moved in Case No. 03-002565 to find the Respondent in violation of Section 115-3 as a repeat violator as of July 14, 2003, but to give until July 28, 2003, to comply or impose fine of$50 a day. Member Chancey, seconded by Member Donenfeld, moved in Case No. 03-001078 to find the Respondents in violation of Sections 108-23 N(1), 108-23 R(1), 108-22, 108-23 I, 108-23 E, SPC 606.3.4.1, and 108-19 A as of May 19 2003, and in compliance of Sections 108-23 R (1), 108-23 N(1) and 108-22 A, as of July 10, 2003, but to give until August 1, 2003, to comply with the remaining violations or impose fine of$100 a day. Case No. 03-001912—Louis Eder 905 Starke Lake Circle Officer Loeffler Violation Cited: 115-6 06-10-03 NOCV Re-Inspection Date: 07-10-03 07-10-03 SOV 07-10-03 NOH Meeting Date: 07-22-03 07-10-03 POS Certified Mail 07-10-03 POS Regular Mail Observation: Dirty pool. Code Enforcement Officer Loeffler gave a brief history of the case and stated the property is in compliance. Member Konicek, seconded by Member Donenfeld, moved in Case No. 03-001912 to find the Respondent in violation of Section 115-6 as of June 25, 2003, but in compliance as of July 18, 2003, and no fine or penalty imposed. Motion carried 6-0. OTHER BUSINESS Chairman Linebarier stated the following Case Nos. are in compliance: 03-001160 and 03-001701 Chairman Linebarier stated that a motion needs to be made regarding imposing the fine and lien in Case No. 03-002501. Member Donenfeld, seconded by Member Godek, moved in Case No. 03-002501 to impose fine and lien of$500. Motion carried 6-0.
