CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING
SEPTEMBER 24,2002
CALL TO ORDER
Vice-Chairman Lenko called the regular meeting of the Ocoee Code Enforcement Board to
order at 7:33 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. Vice-Chairman Lenko led the
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and Member Henderson led the Invocation. The roll was
called and a quorum declared present.
PRESENT: Vice-Chairman Lenko (arrived at 7:33 p.m.), Members Chancey, Godek,
Konicek, Henderson, Skiles, and Stanley. Also present were Code
Enforcement Officer Loeffler, Code Enforcement Officer Siegrist, Building
Clerk Ramos,Attorney Sneed, and Administrative Assistant II Maxwell.
ABSENT: Chairman Linebarier and Member Donenfeld,who were excused.
CONSENT AGENDA
ALL MATTERS LISTED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDA ARE CONSIDERED TO BE ROUTINE BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT
BOARD AND WILL BE ACTED UPON BY ONE MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSION OF THESE ITEMS
UNLESS DISCUSSION IS DESIRED BY A MEMBER OF THE BOARD,IN WHICH CASE THE CHAIRMAN WILL INSTRUCT THE
BOARD CLERK TO REMOVE THE ITEM FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA AND SUCH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED
SEPARATELY.
The Consent Agenda consisted of approval of Items A, B, & C.

Member Konicek, seconded by Member Skiles, moved to approve the Consent Agenda as
presented. Motion carried 7-0.

Code Enforcement Officer Loeffler, having been sworn, stated the City of Ocoee is asking
for a continuance until the October 22, 2002, Code Enforcement Board Meeting.
Member Henderson stated he would like the Respondent to speak regarding her Case since
she did attend the Code Enforcement Board Meeting without being notified of its continuance.
Member Henderson, seconded by Member Skiles, moved in Case No. 02-047 to continue the
hearing until the October 22, 2002, Code Enforcement Board Meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
Respondent, Melissa Burnett stated she removed the "carport" as soon as she was notified but
she would like to know why many of her neighbors have the same "carport" without having
received violation letters. Discussion ensued.
Member Skiles, seconded by Member Chancey, moved in Case No. 02-026 to re-hear the
case for reduction offine and lien. Motion carried 7-0.

Code Enforcement Officer Loeffler, having been sworn, stated the property was sold as a
foreclosure sale three days before the lien was filed but the property is in compliance.
Respondent, David Ashley, having been sworn, stated his employer purchased the property
before the lien was recorded. He is asking for a reduction of fine and lien satisfaction.
Member Chancey, seconded by Member Konicek, moved in Case No. 02-026, to reduce the
fine to $0 and satisfy the lien if in compliance by October 8, 2002, or reinstate the original
fine and lien. Motion carried 7-0.
