JANUARY 22, 1991
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman John Linebarier, Vice Chairman Pitt Varnes,
Members Frank Carlsson, Ray Wood, Gary Carroll, Robert Imes,
Phillip Rowe, Attorney Ike Cool, Code Enforcement Officers Rod
McDougal and Steve Ross and Deputy Clerk Sherry Seaver.
Absent: None
Chairman Linebarier called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the
Ocoee Community Center. Chairman Linebarier led in Pledge of
Allegiance and Mr. Carlsson led in prayer. Chairman Linebarier
stated for the record that there was a quorum present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Imes made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 12,
1991 meeting as printed and distributed. Motion seconded by Mr.
Rowe and approved unanimously.
HEARINGS ON STATEMENT OF VIOLATIONS PURSUANT TO NOTICES OF HEARING
fir► Case 90-151, Sandy J. &/or Libby S. Jones
At this time, Code Enforcement Officers McDougal, Ross and Mrs.
Libby S. Jones were sworn in by Deputy Clerk Seaver. Code
Enforcement Officer McDougal stated the dates of inspections for
this case. He stated that the pool was an aboveground pool that had
been lowered into the ground about two (2) feet; the water in the
pool was stagnated and dirty. Code Enforcement Officer McDougal
stated that Mrs. Jones had made contact with someone to clean up
the pool but that this information was only found out today. He
presented pictures to the Board for review. At this time Mrs. Jones
went to the microphone to speak. Mrs. Jones stated that she had
made contact with a restaurant company that was going to clean the
pool for her but they would probably need a week. Chairman
Linebarier asked Mrs. Jones was she was going to do to the pool.
Mrs. Jones stated that she was going to pump- it and then take out
the pool and get fill dirt to fill in the hole.`Mr. Carlsson asked
Mrs. Jones how long that this would take or if she could have it
done in fourteen ( 14 ) days. Mrs. Jones stated that she could have
it done in that time period. Mr. Carlsson made a motion to find the
respondent in non-compliance and to give her until February 5, 1991
or be fined $25.00 per day thereafter. Motion seconded by Mr.
Varnes and approved unanimously.

COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS
Mr. Darrel Wolfe, 710 E. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee, Florida, wanted to
thank the Board and Code Enforcement Staff for the clean up of
Sleepy Harbor Subdivision. He has noticed a definite change in the
neighborhood especially where boats were concerned. He also wanted
to complain to the Officers about the fence next door to his house
was falling down.
OTHER BUSINESS
Case 90-122, Ernest G. &/or Ivonna P. Hataway
At this time, Mr. Carroll made a motion to waive all fines that
were accrued on this case. Motion seconded by Mr. Imes. The vote
went Mr. Rowe "aye" , Mr. Carroll "aye" , Mr. Varnes "nay" , Chairman
Linebarier "aye" , Mr. Carlsson "nay" , Mr. Wood "nay" , Mr. Imes
"aye" . Vote went 4 to 3; Motion carried.
Mr. Carroll made a motion to adjourn. Motion seconded by Mr. Imes
and approved unan' ously. Meeting adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
