MINUTES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING
HELD SEPTEMBER 9, 1985
IV. HEARINGS ON STATEMENTS OF VIOLATION PURSUANT TO NOTICES OF
HEARING
Case 85-19
Johnny Torres, owner of the vehicle lives in Orlando, he was not
notified of the violation. It is the property owners reponsibility,
Betra Torez to see that the vehicle is removed.
The green copy showing proof of delivery has been received by the
city hall .
There was a motion made by Gary Carroll to find Betra Torez in
violation of the junk vehicle ordinance, therefore an order of
non comliance is to be sent to her to comply with the ordinance
by the 19th of September or face a $25.00 a day fine for every
day thereafter that the vehicle remains, seconded and carried
unanimously.
V. OTHER BUSINESS
The next Board meeting is the 14th of October and that is a work
day for city employees and may be a long weekend for others and
Ken did not know whether or not the board would want to meet that
night or change it for another date , there is also a similiar
Cr,. problem in November , since the night of the meeting falls on Vet-
erans day, Frank Carlsson asked if anyone had any problem with
the 14th or with the 11th of November, there was no problem, the
meeting will go on as schedueled.
John Hatcher brought up the subject of revising the junk vehicle
ordinance in order to place the burden on the respondent by let-
ting the city know when they have complied. So then the Building
Official can just drive by and see if the violation has actually
been complied with.
Therefore the respondents that are in violation not only have to
comply they also have to rxotify the city that they have complied.
There will either be a form on the reverse side of the order to
comply, or the city can just request from the respondent a written
notice of compliance.
The board welcomed Mary Ellen Frame
There was a motion to adjourn at 7:40 , seconded and motion carried.
Clerk of the Board
Chairman Carlsson
