Background Summary:
Annually, the City is required to reconcile its budget at the close of each year. Expenses for a general fund
program exceeded the budgeted amount for fiscal year 2017, by $10,576.71. The overage was due to higher
than anticipated paid-time-off buy outs
Issue:
Should the city commission approve the transfer of funds ($10,576.71)from available budgeted line items to the
City Manager expenses to cover the budget differential above?
Recommendations
Staff recommends the commission approve the budget transfer from Legal Expense ($10,576.71) to City
Manager to cover the budget deficit.
