In order to prepare for the next phase of both construction and possible grant funding, staff recommends that the additional architectural work begin now. Monies are available in FY93 Withers-Maguire Maintenance account line . The work will include : 1 . Documentation of Interior Existing Conditions - the interior conditions will be photographed, measured and catalogued. Fixtures and finishes will be examined and researched to determine their age and suitability for reuse . 2 . Recommendations will be prepared and presented to the Project Committee regarding the appropriate finishes, fixtures and systems to be included in the Work. 3 . Preparation of Preliminary Construction Drawings - preliminary plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules will be prepared, as required, to describe all remaining work. Exterior work will include : re-roofing, handicapped ramp, electrical and water supply as well as sanitary sewer hook-up. Interior work will include selective demolition, insulation and vapor barrier installation, plaster repair/replacement, tile floor installation, wood floor and trim refinishing, door and window rehabilitation, painting, any required built-in cabinets, complete mechanical and electrical systems as well as a security system. 4 . Preparation of Preliminary Project Manual - Preliminary Specifications will be prepared for all work included in the Construction Drawings . CP: C4 Work shall be completed within 90 days from Date of Authorization to Proceed. Fee shall be fixed fee of $5, 500 . 00 with reimbursables not to exceed $300 . 00 . There will be at least one additional work order to complete the necessary architectural plans . The drawings for exterior work will be held until the matching Grant application has been evaluated by the State Advisory Committee. Action Requested The Mayor and Board of City Commissioners approve Work Order No. 9 for Chalmers Yeilding Architect and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute. MEB: f dg WOWM. 9 WORK ORDER FOR ARCHITECT SERVICES AGREEMENT WORK ORDER NO. 9 PROJECT: WITHERS-MAGUIRE HOUSE RESTORATION CITY: OCOEE, FL ARCHITECT: CHALMERS YEILDING ARCHITECT Execution of the Work Order by City shall serve as authorization of ARCHITECT to provide for the above project, professional services as set out in the documents which are attached hereto and made a part hereof . ATTACHMENTS: [X] Construction Documents - Phase 3 ARCHITECT shall provide said services pursuant to this Work Order, its attachment and that certain Agreement of November 19, 1991, as amended between CITY and ARCHITECT which is incorporated herein by reference as if it had been set out in its entirety. Whenever the Work Order conflicts with said Agreement, the Agreement shall prevail . TIME FOR COMPLETION: The work authorized by this Work Order shall be completed within ninety (90) days from the date this Work Order is executed by the CITY. COMPENSATION: The CITY shall compensate ARCHITECT a negotiated fixed fee in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($5, 500 . 00) , with reimbursables for this task not exceeding THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300 . 00) for the service required under this Work Order. ARCHITECT shall perform all work required by this Work Order; but, in no event, shall ARCHITECT be paid more than the fixed fee and reimbursables set . IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have made and executed this Work Order on this day of , 1993, for the purposes stated herein.
