WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States and the President, by Official Proclamation,
have designated May 1 as Law Day U.S.A.,a special day to be observed by the
American people in appreciation of their liberties and independence and as an
occasion for rededication to the ideals of equality and justice under law; and
WHEREAS, in this period of testing our democratic institutions and changing conditions, the
American people can help to strengthen our laws and secure the individual rights
of all citizens by fulfilling their responsibilities to see to it that our laws are just
and fairly administered; and
WHEREAS, by channeling change through the reasonable judgement of law, we truly can
correct whatever problems may arise;

hereby proclaim May 1, 1993, as
LAW DAY U.S.A.
in the City of Ocoee.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I hereunto have set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of
