Beamer, Director 7-y)L Administrative Services SUBJECT: Withers-Maguire House Work Order 11 Construction Documents (Completion), Chalmers Yeilding, Architect Included in the FY94 Mid-Year Budget Amendment as adopted by the Commission on May 17, 1994 was $5,000 for Architectural Services, Withers-Maguire House. This, as formatted in Work Order 11 for Chalmers Yeilding, will complete the Construction Documents for the interior work as: (1) Preliminary Construction Drawings will be completed describing all remaining architectural and engineering work. (2) Preliminary specifications will be completed for all remaining architectural and engineering work. Division One of the specifications, prepared by the City, will be reviewed and suggested revisions will be made. The completed specifications will be bound together and will form the Project Manual. (3) A detailed cost estimate will be prepared covering all the work included in the Construction Documents. Through Work Order 9 documentation of the existing interior conditions, recommendations for interior finishes, and requirements for electrical and plumbing have been incorporated into a very preliminary set of drawings and project manual. These will be finalized in Work Order 11, presented to both the Historical Commission and City Commission, and bound for advertising. The sixty day schedule allows coordination of the contract approval for the Special Categories Grant with bidding the actual work. Staff recommends approval of Work Order 11 for Chalmers Yeilding, Architect. There are enough funds in the architectural services (Withers-Maguire) line item to pay the additional $500 for reimbursables. Action Requested The Mayor and Board of City Commissions (1) approve Work Order 11, Construction Documents (Completion) for Chalmers Yeilding, Architect in the amount of$5,000 with an additional $500 for reimbursables to be completed in sixty (60) days and (2) authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute. '' WORK ORDER FOR ARCHITECT SERVICES AGREEMENT WORK ORDER NO. 11 PROJECT: WITHERS-MAGUIRE HOUSE RESTORATION CITY OCOEE, FLORIDA ARCHITECT: CHALMERS YEILDING, ARCHITECT Execution of the Work Order by City shall serve as authorization of ARCHITECT to provide for the above project, professional services as set out in the documents which are attached hereto and made a part hereof. ATTACHMENTS: (X) Preparation of Construction Documents ARCHITECT shall provision said services pursuant to this Work Order, its attachment and that certain Agreement of November 19, 1991, as amended between CITY and ARCHITECT which is incorporated herein by reference as if it had been set out in its entirety. Whenever the Work Order conflicts with said Agreement, the Agreement shall prevail. TIME FOR COMPLETION: The work authorized by this Work Order shall be completed within sixty (60) days from the date this Work Order is executed by the CITY. COMPENSATION: The CITY shall compensate ARCHITECT a negotiated fixed fee in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00), with reimbursables for this task not exceeding FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) for the service required under this Work Order. Architect shall perform all work required by this Work Order; but, in no event, shall ARCHITECT be paid more than the fixed fee and reimbursables set. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this parties hereto have made and executed this Work Order on this day of , 1994, for the purposes stated herein.
