SERVICE AWARDS OCTOBER 5, 2004 Presented by: Mayor Scott Vandergrift 30 Years James Mobley James Mobley was hired in September of 1974 when you could count the number of employees on two hands. On 6/27/83 he was promoted to Sanitation Supervisor. The following year, James was transferred to the Recreation Department on 7/26/84 as Sr. Groundskeeper, under the directorship of Jim Beech. In October 1991, he was reclassified as Athletic Groundskeeper. Through the years, James has assisted with many organizations, to name a few: Ocoee Pop Warner Football League, West Orange Girls Club, March of Dimes, Ocoee Little League, Big Orange Games, Withers Maguire House and West Orange Chambers. He was also instrumental in the new revised personnel manual in 1993. Other job duties include, driving children to school who are registered in the before and after school program and the Senior Citizens monthly bus trips. James has received a Lifetime Award from the Central Florida Blood Bank in which he currently has donated 14+ gallons of blood. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing. He is a proud grandpa of 7 grandchildren. James, we truly appreciate your many, many years of loyalty and dedicated service to the City of Ocoee. Along with his plaque, James will receive $500.00 to the West Oaks Mall as well as O.C. Tanner recognition gift, 10K Gold Necklace.
