Recommendation: Authorize the purchase of benches, receptacles, and planters from Contract Connection, Inc. in the amount of $20,029.50 by piggybacking off state contract#650-001-04- 1. There is $30,000 designated for these items budgeted in fiscal 2004/2005. Background Summary: The plans for the McKey Street improvements include eight benches, eight trash receptacles, and twenty-two planters. The benches are six foot, black and have center arms. The trash receptacles are black, have a 32- gallon capacity and match the benches. The planters have a 36" diameter and are 26"s tall. They are light gray stone. Fiscal Impacts: There is $30,000 budgeted in fiscal year 2004/2005 for these items. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION The plans for the McKey Street improvements include certain site furnishings. Eight benches, eight trash receptacles, and twenty-two planters are included. The benches are six foot, black and have center arms. The trash receptacles are black with a 32-gallon capacity and match the benches. The planters are light gray stone with 36" diameters and 26" heights. Pictures and quotes of these furnishings are attached. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the purchase of Wabash Valley Estate Series benches, receptacles, and the Custom Design Precast planters from Contract Connection, Inc. in the amount of$20,029.50 by piggybacking off State Contract #650-001-04-1, (SNAPS #6502218-3).
