Phelps,Building Official DATE: November 8, 2004 RE: Request For Road Closings Ocoee Lions Club Christmas Parade ISSUE Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission approve the road closings for the Ocoee Lions Club Christmas Parade to be held on December 4, 2004,at 1 pm with a rain date of December 5,2004 at 2pm? BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION In order to temporarily close a public street, the approval of the Honorable Mayor and City Commission is required. Ms. Cathy Sills of the Ocoee Lions Club has made application to the City for a Special Events Permit for a Christmas parade that would require the temporary closing of City owned streets. See attached location map.
