BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION This change order is for the(1)modification to the irrigation system and (2) additional items for the new water distribution system including a 2-day time extension as a result of the changes. Modifications to the irrigation system are for$2,995.00 as detailed on the attached change order form and include extending the sleeve 300 feet for the supply line, addition of extra 200 feet of 3/4" irrigation pipe, and addition of 22 concrete access boxes for landscape pots. The funds for this part of the change order will be funded from the McKey Street project budget. Changes for the water distribution system are for the amount of$5,690.00 and include the items listed on the attached change order form. The items included in this change order were not anticipated in the original design and are required to insure connectivity and integrity of the system. Funds for these items are available from Water Utilities Contingency Funds. The water distribution modifications will also require a 2-day time extension to the Contract. The new total contract amount is$915,610.00 and the new final completion date is January 17, 2005. An additional 200'of pipe was also added to provide for adequate irrigation. The changes for the water distribution system include additional items for the connectivity of the new water main with the adjacent systems and to insure integrity of the design. IV.
