as well as concrete masonry units.
We monitor quality levels at the various concrete plants, ranging
from field studies that are designed to assist the plant with
batching, material handling and proper sampling of aggregates.
Presented and implemented the B.I.Q. designed Operator Verification
Program for the Orlando District (13 plants) , this program is
designed to give the plant operators and management a way to
monitor daily production.
We conduct research and development investigations involving
concrete and the constituent products.
We investigate both internal and external problems as requested by
other divisions.
While working at Rinker Materials I have earned certifications in
the following: (ACI) Concrete Field Technician - Grade Level I
(CMEC) Concrete Laboratory Technician
(ACI) Laboratory Testing Technician
Tarmac of Florida, Inc. - Jan. 1985 to Feb. 1990
I was the Plant Manager, overseeing all facets of a Concrete Plant.
Originally I was hired as a concrete mixer driver and was
responsible for training new hires in mixer operations. I was
promoted to Batchman with direct responsibility for loading
concrete trucks in a non-automated batch plant, I trained several
batchmen for other locations. I was directly responsible for
implementing a system of inventory control which was used in all
the plant locations. The required daily checks of materials, which
gave me the pertinent data that I need to make adjustments to mix
design batch weights. I was moved to the position of Dispatcher,
being responsible for scheduling employees time and jobsite
deliveries. I maintained the plant maintenance schedule and built
a good working relationship with the customers and upper level
management.
While working in this employment I became FDOT Certified as Batch
Plant Operator.
Rinker Materials Corporation - Oct. 1984 to Jan. 1985
Introduced myself to the concrete industry and was complimented on
being trained in the shortest time in recent memory.
I was laid off because work was slow.
Bari Imports Corporation - Mar. 1980 to Oct. 84
I operated an 18 wheel tractor-trailer, transporting refrigerated
loads in 48 states. I maintained rigid safety and preventative
maintenance program, coordinated backhauls with outside brokers,
formulated all permit applications as well as payments for Federal
and State Taxes. I adapted to the ever changing DOT rules and
regulations and reduced costs by performing minor tractor-trailer
repairs on the road and at home.

concrete constituents: cement, pozzolans, aggregates and chemical
admixtures. We test concrete specimens for compressive strength
as well as concrete masonry units.
We investigate both internal and external problems as requested by
other divisions.

batchmen for other locations. I was directly responsible for
implementing a system of inventory control which was used in all
the plant locations. The required daily checks of materials, which
gave me the pertinent data that I need to make adjustments to mix
design batch weights. I was moved to the position of Dispatcher,
being responsible for scheduling employees time and jobsite
deliveries. I maintained the plant maintenance schedule and built
a good working relationship with the customers and upper level
management.
