The Credit& Collections Department with ten employees was added to my scope of responsibility after one year with Customer Service. This added 10 employees to supervise. This Department was responsible for approving all new accounts for open lines of credit, as well as collection of all receivables. I had full responsibility for an accounts receivable portfolio in excess of $26,000,000. A year later, responding to corporate needs, I left Customer Service, retained Credit& Collections and added the Treasury Dept. The duties I perform are testing and analysis of concrete constituents: cement, pozzolans, aggregates and chemical admixtures. We test concrete specimens for compressive strength as well as concrete masonry units. We monitor quality levels at the various concrete plants, ranging from field studies that are designed to assist the plant with batching, material handling and proper sampling of aggregates. Presented and implemented the B.I.Q. designed Operator Verification Program for the Orlando District (13 plants) , this program is designed to give the plant operators and management a way to monitor daily production. We conduct research and development investigations involving concrete and the constituent products. We investigate both internal and external problems as requested by other divisions. The duties I perform are testing and analysis of concrete constituents: cement, pozzolans, aggregates and chemical admixtures. We test concrete specimens for compressive strength as well as concrete masonry units. We monitor quality levels at the various concrete plants, ranging from field studies that are designed to assist the plant with batching, material handling and proper sampling of aggregates. Presented and implemented the B.I.Q. designed Operator Verification Program for the Orlando District (13 plants) , this program is designed to give the plant operators and management a way to monitor daily production. We conduct research and development investigations involving concrete and the constituent products. We investigate both internal and external problems as requested by other divisions. I was directly responsible for implementing a system of inventory control which was used in all the plant locations. I maintained rigid safety and preventative maintenance program, coordinated backhauls with outside brokers, formulated all permit applications as well as payments for Federal and State Taxes. I adapted to the ever changing DOT rules and regulations and reduced costs by performing minor tractor-trailer repairs on the road and at home.
