SUBJECT: Withers-Maguire House Work, Order 12
Bidding
The Construction Documents for all the remaining work on the Withers-Maguire House have been
completed. On Sunday, October 2, 1994 the advertisement to prequalify contractors will appear;
responses have been requested by October 18, 1994.
The next phase for the Architect will be Bidding where:
1. The Architect will assist the City with the prequalification of contractors.
2. A prebid conference will be held on site with the qualified contractors to review the
construction documents and scope of work. An addendum will be issued, if necessary, to
clarify any questions prior to the submittal of Bids.
3. The Architect will attend the bid opening, review bids and make recommendations for the
award of the contract.
4. The construction contract will be reviewed and comments will be provided to the City.
Monies were appropriated in FY94 at mid-year and were carried forward into FY95 through a
Purchase Order specifically outlining these tasks.
Staff recommends approval of Work Order 12 for Chalmers Yeilding, Architect.
Action Requested
The Mayor and Board of City Commissioners (1) approve Work Order 12, Bidding for Chalmers
Yeilding, Architect in the amount of $1,500.00 to be completed in ninety (90) days and (2)
authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute.

WORK ORDER FOR
ARCHITECT SERVICES AGREEMENT
WORK ORDER NO. 12
PROJECT: WITHERS-MAGUIRE HOUSE RESTORATION
CITY OCOEE, FLORIDA
ARCHITECT: CHALMERS YEILDING, ARCHITECT
Execution of the Work Order by City shall serve as authorization of ARCHITECT to
provide for the above project, professional services as set out in the documents which are attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
ATTACHMENTS:
(X) Bidding
ARCHITECT shall provision said services pursuant to this Work Order, its attachment and
that certain Agreement of November 19, 1991, as amended between CITY and ARCHITECT
which is incorporated herein by reference as if it had been set out in its entirety. Whenever the
Work Order conflicts with said Agreement, the Agreement shall prevail.
TIME FOR COMPLETION: The work authorized by this Work Order shall be
completed within ninety (90) days from the date this Work Order is executed by the CITY.
COMPENSATION: The CITY shall compensate ARCHITECT a negotiated fixed fee in
the amount of ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500.00) for the service
required under this Work Order. Architect shall perform all work required by this Work Order;
but, in no event, shall ARCHITECT be paid more than the fixed fee.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this parties hereto have made and executed this Work Order
on this day of , 1994, for the purposes stated herein.
