Subject: Appointment to the Human Relations/Diversity Board
Background Summary:
Members of the Human Relations/Diversity Board (HRDB) serve two-year terms. On September 16,2003,
City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2003-21 establishing the Human Relations/Diversity Board and
adopting By-Laws for the board. The Resolution provides that HRDB membership shall consist of no less
than seven (7) members and no more than fifteen (15) members. Currently the board has fourteen (14)
members.
Issue:
Should the City Commission appoint Sandra Davidson as a member on the Human Relations/Diversity
Board?
Recommendations
One application was recently submitted for the Human Relations/Diyersity Board; therefore staff recorrnnends the City
Connnission consider appointing Sandra Davidson to the Human Relations/Diversity Board with a term ending May
2007.
