The purpose of this board is to review infractions of the City Codes, negotiate compliance, and impose fine for failure to comply. The board consists of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members. Member Donenfeld resigned effective November 1, 2005, (term ending June 2008) and Member Henderson was removed by the Code Enforcement Board on October 25, 2005, for three (3) consecutive absences (term ending June 2006), leaving two (2) regular member openings on the board. Alternate Member Lenko (attended 2 out of 5 meetings, tardy x1 meeting, since being moved to an alternate board member in June of 2005) and Altemate Member Morton (attended 2 out of 2 meetings since being appointed in September of 2005). Applicants, Steven Ballard (District 2) and Ronald Strosnider (District 4), have indicated interest in serving on the Code Enforcement Board. Issue: Should Alternate Members Lenko and Morton be moved to regular member status to complete the terms of Mr. Henderson and Mr. Donenfeld and should applicants Steven Ballard and Ronald Strosnider be appointed as alternate members to the Code Enforcement Board? Recommendations Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners move Altemate Members Lanko and Morton to a regular member status or appoint Steven Ballard and Ronald Strosnider to a regular member status for terms ending June 2006 and June 2008.
