Background Summary: The General Employees' Pension Board of Trustees was created by
Ordinance No. 91-08 on May 21, 1991. The purpose of this board is to administer the operation of
the Retirement System.
The board consists of five (5) members, who serve two (2) year terms.
Membership Qualifications: Two (2) general employees elected by general employees, two (2)
legal residents of Ocoee appointed by City Commission, and the fifth (5th) member is chosen by
those four (4) and appointed by City Commission as a ministerial action.
The two (2) year term of Jean Grafton (attended 10 of 10 meetings) ends September 2005, and she
has indicated she is willing to serve another term, if reappointed. There are no applications on file
for this board.
Issue: Should Jean Grafton be reappointed to the General Employees' Pension Board of Trustees?
Recommendations: Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners
reappoint Jean Grafton to serve a two-year term on the General Employees' Pension Board of
Trustees.
