WHEREAS, we are gathered here today to celebrate and commemorate the beginning of Lynx
service to a major portion of our City; and
WHEREAS, it has been many years since this quality of service has been available to our
community; and
WHEREAS, we look forward to a long association and continued improvement with the Lynx
family; and
WHEREAS, this transit service connects uptown Ocoee to downtown Ocoee and to cities in
Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties; and
WHEREAS, the service will go a long way toward reducing traffic,eliminating environmental
exhaust pollution and opening new horizons to all people of our community,

hereby proclaim February 3, 1995 as
LYNX DAY
in Ocoee and hope that the Lynx will forever prowl our streets helping our citizens in their every
day lives.
