WHEREAS, Firefighting is acknowledged to be one of our nation's most
hazardous professions; and
WHEREAS, Firefighters daily dedicate their lives to protect the life and
property of fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Firefighters work together on community projects to
make Ocoee a better place in which to live; and
WHEREAS, these dedicated men and women contribute hundreds of hours
to those less fortunate by conducting annual charity drives for
such worthwhile health programs as the Muscular Dystrophy
Association; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and fitting that all citizens of Ocoee join the
Muscular Dystrophy Association in support of our
Firefighters;
eAfertg I, S. Scott Vandergrift, Mayor of the City of
Ocoee, do hereby recognize August 28 - September 4, 1995 as
FIREFIGHTER APPRECIATION WEEK
in Ocoee and commend Ocoee Firefighters for their efforts in behalf of the
Muscular Dystrophy Association.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I hereunto have set my hand and caused the Seal
of the City of Ocoee to be affixed this 15th day of August, 1995.
