Lakeshore Drive Ocoee, FL 34761 Re: YMCA Scholarship Campaign Dear Ms. Grafton, It has been my pleasure to work as a volunteer with our local YMCA in their summer Scholarship Campaign. I know from personal experience that the YMCA' s commitment to character development hap had a positive influence on mV children, Shari and Zack. The caring, honesty, respect and responsibility that I try every day to instill in my children at home is reinforced outside the home when attending extracurricular activities and summer camp at the Y. I want this opportunity to be available to all children. But unfortunately, many families are not financia'ly able to afford this for their children. The YMCA, th1'ough private and public donations, is able to provide these activities and more to many children regardless of their ability to pay. The City of Ocoee can make a difference. Please accept this letter as a request to make some childres' S dreams come true. The City' s donation of $1,000 would he .p subsidize summer day camp and swim lessons for some of the more than 125 campers a day who are attending or would ..ike to attend during the summer. Of course, every contribution helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call at 877-7995- Thank you for your consideration in this matter. very Sincerely, Isabel E.
