RE: Take Home Plan for Public Works, Utilities and Building and Zoning
On June 30, 1998, the City Commission at a work session directed the administration to
place on the July 7, 1998 agenda the following item:
1. To set up a committee to discuss a plan for the taking home of Public Works
Utility and Building and Zoning vehicles that may be on call. The Committee is
set up to promulgate the administrative procedures necessary to make this
happen by the 1998-99 budget adoption. At the same time, Commissioner
Howell asked that included in the Committee's responsibility should be a
discussion as to whether employees living within the City can use their vehicles
to go home for lunch.
The Committee should include:
Public Works Director Robert Smith
Public Utility/City Engineer James Shira
Chief Building Official Don Flippen
and two members from each of the above mentioned departments to be selected by the
employees they represent.
