Congratulations on being chosen to participate in the "Mayor of the Moment' program in
the City of Ocoee. It is my honor to have you help me conduct the Ocoee City
Commission meeting on October 6, 1998.
In order to get the feel of what you will be doing in conducting the meeting, you need to
be at Ocoee City Hall by 6:45 p.m. on the night of the meeting. Please join me in my
office as soon as you arrive.
You should dress in appropriate "business" clothes in colors or patterns suitable for color
television, because the meeting will be broadcast live on Channel 19 on the TimeWarner
cable network.
You may invite your friends, teachers, parents, and other relatives to attend the meeting.
During the meeting you are encouraged to introduce your guests, and they, too, will
appear on live television.
At least 5 days before the meeting I will need a short written biographical sketch of you,
including school activities, extra-curricular activities, other interests, honors, and awards.
This information will enable me to provide an introduction of you before you take over
your functions at the meeting.
I am looking forward to your participation in this program, and I hope you will find it to
be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
