Subject: Grant Application from Mid-Florida Quarter Midget Racing Association
Attached please find a grant application submitted by the Mid-Florida Quarter Midget Racing
Association. They are seeking a $2,500 sponsorship for their Eastern Grands, the national
competition to be held in June at the Clarcona Horseman's Park. Attached is information about
the Association. They will be at the May 16 City Commission meeting to explain more about
the event and to ask the Commission to take part in the opening ceremonies and Red Bandanna
Barbecue.
As of today, the balance in the Community Promotions Account is $10,213.11.

Please see the attached Grant Application from the Mid-Florida Quarter Midget
Racing Association. I am not able to get the Tax ID# at this time. However
I can get this informatin from our club treasurer later today. I will forward
this to you as soon as I receive it.
If you need any additional details, please feel free to contact me. Our club
is most appreciative for your support. We invite you to join us any Friday
evening for our local racing program. Of course, we also invite you-to .be:our guests
at the Red Bandana BBQ on June 30 as well.

If funding is granted, the organization certifies that the funds will be used as requested A written
report of the event shall be submitted to the City no later than 30 days after the event. Organization
agrees to immediately return all funds back to the City if not used for the purpose intended.
NOTE: Grant Applications are included in the Agenda for City Commission Meetings, which
are held the first and third Tuesday of every month. To be placed on an Agenda, your grant
application must be received a minimum of one week before the scheduled Commission
