RE: Award of Bid No. 99-01,Vehicle Fueling Station at the Public Works
Complex
Currently $667,150 is available for this project from the Capital Improvement Note proceeds for
the New Public Works Facility.
Bid No. 99-01 was advertised on October 4, 1998 and was publicly opened on November 25,
1998. Responses were received from:
1) Pipeline Energy - $ 65,900.00
2) Cape Canaveral Marine - $ 69,799.00
3) Southern Petroleum System - $110,120.00
The bids were reviewed by the Public Works and Finance Departments. Staff recommends
awarding this Bid to Pipeline Energy as the low bidder.
RECOMMENDATION
It respectfully is recommended that the City Commission award Bid #99-01 to Pipeline Energy
and authorize execution of the agreement between the City and Pipeline Energy by the Mayor
and City Clerk and further authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute all documents
necessary to consummate the transaction contemplated by the agreement.
