ISSUE:
Should the Honorable Mayor and Board of City Commissioners approve the
renewal of the referenced contract?
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The City of Ocoee and the Florida Department of Transportation entered into an
agreement on April 24, 1996, to perform routine roadside maintenance on the
State roads within the city limits of Ocoee for the State at an annual cost to the
State of$30,000. The renewal of this agreement is upcoming.
The State is satisfied with our services and the $30,000 is adequate for us to
perform the necessary maintenance.
RECOMMENDATION:
Therefore, Staff respectfully requests that the Honorable Mayor and Board of
City Commissioners approve the renewal of the FDOT Maintenance Contract.

Florida Department of Transportation, hereinafter called 'Department',and City of Ocoee

hereinafter called 'Contractor'.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the D r«,.ent and the Contractor heretofore on April 34 1996
entered into an Agreement whereby the Department retained the Contractor to perform

WHEREAS,said Agreement has a renewal option which provides for a renewal if mutually agreed to by both parties and
subject to the same terms and conditions of the original Agreement;
NOW,THEREFORE,this Agreement witesseth that for and in consideration of the mutual benefits to flow each to the
other, the parties agree to a renewal of said original Agreement dated Anril 74 1996
fora period of one year beginning the J st day of May 19 97 and ending the 30th
day of Aoril , 19 oA at an actual cost of$ 530 000 00 specified herein.
All terms and conditions of said original Agreement shall remain in force and effect for this renewal.
