RE: Declaration of Surplus Property
the attached is a departmental listing of items requested to be declared as surplus property. A
tentative listing was given to all departments allowing an opportunity for them to request any
items that would meet that department's needs. There were no requests from the departments for
any of the items this year.
Item No. 5; (875) water meters will be deleted from the list, once declared surplus. The City will
then sell the meters as scrap and the proceeds will be returned to the Water/Wastewater Fund.
The Surplus Auction will be held on Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. at the Public
Works Facility located at 370 Enterprise Street, unless directed otherwise by the City
Commission. This will allow ample time for the Surplus Auction to be advertised.
RECOMMENDATION
It respectfully is recommended that the City Commission declare the items listed as surplus and
approve the date of the City's Surplus Auction as Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 9:00 a.m.
