Zaitooni, P.E., Deputy Director Public Works DATE: April 20, 2004 RE: Appraisal Services for 7th Avenue Right-of-Way Acquisition ISSUE: Should the Honorable Mayor and the City Commissioners approve payment of$3,600.00 to DeRango, Best&Associates for the update of the appraisal of property for the 7th Avenue right- of-way acquisition from the General Fund Contingency'? BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: City Commission previously authorized acquisition and survey of the required right-of-way for 7th Avenue. In order to proceed with the acquisition of the right-of-way, it is necessary to update the appraisal of the required parcel. City Attorney has retained the services of DeRango, Best& Associates to conduct the appraisal. RECOMMENDATION: Staff respectfully requests the Honorable Mayor and City Commission approve payment of $3,600.00 to DeRango, Best&Associates for the update of appraisal for the 7"'Avenue right-of- way acquisition from the General Fund Contingency.
