RE: Annual Budget Fiscal Year 2002/2003
Public Hearings and Workshop Dates
Budget workshops are held during August to discuss the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal
year. Public hearings are required by the TRIM Act to notify the citizens of the proposed
budget.
The dates recommended for the City of Ocoee public hearings are September 5th and
September 19th These dates do not conflict with the hearing dates for Orange County(9/12 and
9/26)nor the date for Orange County School Board (9/17).
Dates recommended for the budget workshops are August 7th and August 8th. Calendars for
August and September indicating other scheduled city meetings are attached to assist you in your
decision-making.
Action Requested
Staff requests the Mayor and City Commissioners approve the dates recommended for the
2002/2003 budget public hearings and workshops.
