Proclamation
W~€.R€D, the Nazi Holocaust included among it horrors the
murders of six million Jews and the suffering of
millions of other people at the hands of the Nazis; and
W~cf.ReD, our free society abhors the atrocities of the Holocaust and;
W~cf.RcfD, our constant dedication to the principle of equal justice for all
people is needed to prevent a reoccurrence of such a
catastrophe; and
W~€.RcfD, it is extremely important for the citizens of our City, our State
and our Nation to unite for peace and to rid ourselves of
prejudice and inhumanity,
'Jt<<,.7~. I, S. Scott Vandergrift, Mayor of the City ofOcoee, do hereby
declare April 15, 2007 as
DAYOFRE~MBRANCE
in Ocoee, and urge all citizens to be ever mindful of this tragedy and to constantly
strive for harmony with all people.
