Ocoee Remembers 2022 Preliminary Outline & Notes
Additional Notes for Ocoee Remembers 2022
• The first week in November, (November 1— November 7 should be reserved every year
for this event. This included Bill Breeze Park and the Lakeshore Center.
• US, State, and City Flags should half mask for the entire week.
• Ocoee Remembers flags should be placed on utility poles along Clarke Rd from Colonial
Drive to Clarcona Ocoee Rd and from along Maguire Rd from Roberson to West Rd
and/or along Bluford Rd from Old Winter Garden Rd to Clarcona Ocoee
• National Anthem & "Lift Every Voice & Sings" should be played at all Ocoee
Remembrance Events.
• The City of Ocoee should be the Host of all events. HRDB should be the
Presenters. Jennifer Yon Agency and Highpoint Church are Partners. Sponsors TBD
• All Descendants and All elected officials that cover Ocoee should be invited to All
events. This included school board members. Elected officials in surrounding
municipalities should be invited. E.G. (Winter Garden, Apopka, Oakland &
Orlando). Badges identifying individuals as descendants should be consistent at all
events.
• Seating for Speakers and Elected Officials should be off to the side so that they can see
the audience and stage or facing the audience, depending on the event. Some elected
officials did not have a reserved seat at the event on Sunday.
HRDB members should either have on the HRDB Polo or if in business attire, the HRDB
name tag. HRDB members should serve as ushers, ensuring that events are running as
planned and people are seated in the correct areas.
• Contingency plan for inclement weather should be set for each scheduled event.
Duties of Jennifer Yon Agency
• Creation of Annual Sponsorship
• Creation of Save the Date Community Flyers to be generated 4x prior to event
• Creation of partnership letter to local municipalities to reserve the date of Ocoee
Remembers 2022 and thereafter.
• Creation off all Event Flyers
• Establishing Community Partners
• Managing the Week of Events
• Capturing Guest Data and after event follow up
• Capturing footage and content from event to distribute national
