07-01-2021 Special Meeting Minutes Minutes of the Citizen Advisory Council for Ocoee Police Department Special Meeting Held on July 1, 2021 CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Garone called the meeting to order at 7:09 PM, in the Commission Chambers of City Hall located at 150 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee. Member Lewis led the Pledge of Allegiance,there was no invocation. Recording Clerk Serrano called roll and determined a quorum present. Present: Chairperson Garone, Members Lewis, Brown, Hart,Meeks (arrived at 7:12 PM), Moyer and Holt (both arrived at 7:15 PM). Absent: Members Ball, Braunskill,Lomneck, Mann, and Griner. 9/11 MEMORIAL EVENT Chairperson Garone updated the Board on the request to City Commission for funds and waiver of fees associated with the event; nothing was awarded. Discussion ensued. Chairperson Garone made a motion that the Police Department advertise the Memorial Event, to be held on September 11, 2021, from 0830 AM-11 AM with the location to be determined; seconded by Member Brown. The motion carried unanimously. Chairperson Garone made a motion that he attend the July 20, 2021, City Commission Meeting regarding the Memorial Event: seconded by Member Brown.
