Subject: Approval of New Appointment to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (Three -Year
Term)
Background Summary:
Members of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board serve three-year terms. Only those persons who are legal
residents of the City of Ocoee, or who are members of a City sporting organization that utilize the Ocoee parks,
shall be eligible for membership. The resolution provides that the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board shall
consist of no less than three (3) and no more than nine (9) members. Currently, the board has seven (7)
members.
One (1) application has been received by Jim Moyer who has shown an interest in being appointed to the Parks
& Recreation Advisory Board for a term ending October 2025.
Issue:
Should Mr. Moyer be appointed to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board to serve a three-year term ending
October 2025?
Recommendations:
Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners consider appointing Mr. Moyer to serve a
three-year term on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.
