Silver Star Road, Ocoee, FL 34761. The City has an existing agreement with Innovation Montessori Ocoee, Inc. to provide School Resource Officer services but it does not include the new campus or costs associated with the additional campus. An amendment to the agreement is necessary to clarify the Police Department will be providing services to the new campus and Innovation Montessori Ocoee, Inc., will be paying an additional fee for the expanded services. Issue: Should the Commission approve the amendment to the agreement with Innovation Montessori Ocoee, Inc.? Recommendations: Staff recommends the Commission approve the amendment to the agreement with Innovation Montessori Ocoee, Inc.. Type of Item: (please mark with an 'Y) Public Hearing Ordinance First Reading Ordinance Second Reading Resolution X Commission Approval Discussion & Direction For Clerk's Dept Use: Consent Agenda Public Hearing Regular Agenda Original Document/Contract Attached for Execution by City Clerk Original Document/Contract Held by Department for Execution AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT between Innovation Montessori Ocoee, Inc., a charter school located in Ocoee, Orange County, Florida and City of Ocoee Police Department for The School Resource Officer Program THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT for the SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM ("Amendment") is entered into on the of , 2022 by and between the City of Ocoee, a Florida municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "Law Enforcement Agency" or the "Agency") and Innovation Montessori Ocoee, Inc., a charter school established and operating pursuant to Title XLVIII, Florida Statutes, in Ocoee, Orange County, Florida (hereinafter referred to as the "School"). RECITALS A. Whereas, the Agency and the School entered into an Agreement for the School Resource Officer Program (the "Agreement"), dated June 29, 2021, so that the Agency could assist the School with school resource officer personnel (the "SRO Services"); and B. Whereas, Agency and School desire to amend the Agreement to designate the location of the school campuses where the SRO Services are provided. AGREEMENT NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing, the mutual promises, covenants, and agreements contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. The Scope of Services section of the Agreement is hereby amended to include the following: Scope of Services. E. The Agency shall provide the SRO Services at the following campuses of the School: • 1475 E. Silver Star Road, Ocoee, Florida; and 0 1610 N. Lakewood Avenue, Ocoee, Florida. 2. All of the terms, covenants, conditions and provisions of the Agreement hereby remain in full force and effect, except as modified by this Amendment.
