Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Ocoee is blessed with a multitude of families –
an essential part of the cultural, social and spiritual fabric
of our community; and
WHEREAS, The City of Ocoee Commission recognizes that strong
families are at the center of communities, that children live
better lives when their families are strong, and that families
are strong when they live in communities that connect them
to economic opportunities, social networks, and services;
and
WHEREAS, T he theme for this year’s Week of the Family is My Family:
Endless Possibilities; and
WHEREAS, We hope you will consider every day how you can be
present with your family – your parents, siblings and
children, if you have them; and

WHEREAS, During the week of November 5 through November 12
2022, City of Ocoee residents should take the time to honor
the importance of families and recommit to enhancing and
extending the special connections that support and
strengthen them.
Now, Therefore, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, does hereby
declare the week of November 5-12, 2022, as
Week of the Family
in Ocoee, and urge all citizens to share in the many festivities prepared for
this occasion.
