Minutes of the Human Relations Diversity Board
Regular Meeting Held December 1, 2022
I:CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chair-Elect Dawkins at 6:23 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of City Hall located at
1 N. Bluford Avenue, Ocoee.
Member Anderson-Robinson led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag,followed by a moment of personal
reflection. Recording Clerk Heard performed roll call and declared a quorum present.
Present: Chair-Elect Dawkins, and Members:Anderson-Robinson, Carr,Annette Brown, Hart, Lomneck, Maxwell, Mellen,
Middleton (arrived at 6:27 pm)
Absent: Members Dorisca, Kennedy,and Demetrick Brown
Also Present: Commissioner Oliver,Acting Support Services Director Gaines, and Recording Clerk Heard
Public Comments:
Jim Moyer, Ocoee Resident, stated he hopes one day the Ocoee Massacre can be recognized nationally by all.
II:BUSINESS FOR DISCUSSION
Chair-Elect Dawkins announced changes may be implemented to this board at the next City Commission meeting. Due
to the proposed revisions, no motions will be made during this meeting except to approve the minutes.
A. Approval of Minutes for the HRDB meeting held October 6,2022 :
Motion:Move to Approve the October 6,2022, Minutes;Moved by Member Lomneck,seconded by Member
Hart. Motion carried unanimously.
Member Lomneck asked for a point of order. He inquired if it would be appropriate to close the meeting at this
time, because the Board is not allowed to make motions. Chair-Elect Dawkins said that would be appropriate.
Motion: Move to close the meeting; Moved by Member Lomneck,seconded by Member Mellen. Motion
carried unanimously.
Adjournment: meeting adjourned at 6:31 p.m.
