Subject: AGENDA ITEMS
The Commission has had several discussions regarding planning, budgets and audits of an advisory board. The
following should be items on the next agenda in January 2023
1. Due having trouble meeting quorum in order to conduct meetings of the Citizens Advisory Boards for Fire and
Police, I would like it the item of:
Combining the Fire and Police Advisory Boards into one “Citizen Advisory Public Safety Board (CAPSB)”
Capping the number of members on the CAPSB to a number not to exceed 10
2. Review of all boards in the City for effectiveness, use of funds, and size. In order that we increase the efficacy of
the boards by various means which includes considering reducing the number of members serving
3. Conducting an audit on boards (advisory or otherwise), all events, functions etc. which use taxpayer dollars are
used to support, donate, endorse or where the City contributes monetarily in any way. Additionally, audit all

monies collected due to events, Including but not limited to, donations, transfers in/out of the City,
expenditures, fundraising for any event where the City disburses or receives any monies et al.
4. In addition, conduct an outside operational audit of the City of Ocoee that is separate, more comprehensive and
not the same as the reporting requirements to the State of Florida.
