Subject: Approval of Payment for the 2023 Ocoee Music Festival Entertainment. (Parks and

Background Summary:
The entertainment for the 2023 Ocoee Music Festival will include the headline act of Joan Jett and the
Blackhearts on Friday, March 10th, and Niko Moon and Chris Janson on Saturday, March 11th. The cost of
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts totals $103,000, Night Ranger totals $50,000, Niko Moon totals $50,000, and
Chris Janson totals $75,000 all of which require approval from the City Commission, in accordance with the
City of Ocoee Purchasing Rules and Regulations. Additional entertainers have also been retained, and
include: The Mavericks, Chapel Heart, and Walker Montgomery, and the cost for each of these individual
entertainers falls under the dollar threshold for the City Manager to approve. Final payments for the
entertainment will be made the day of each respective entertainer’s performance or as otherwise agreed.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners authorize staff to make the payment for the 2023 Ocoee
Music Festival headline acts of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in the amount of $103,000, Night Ranger in the
amount of $50,000, Niko Moon in the amount of $50,000 and Chris Janson in the amount of $75,000 in
accordance with the City of Ocoee Purchasing Rules and Regulations?
Recommendations:
Staff respectfully recommends the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners authorize staff to make the
payment for the 2023 Ocoee Music Festival headline acts of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in the amount of
$103,000, Night Ranger in the amount of $50,000, Niko Moon in the amount of $50,000 and Chris Janson in the
amount of $75,000.
