09-23-09 SS MINUTES CITY COMMISSION SPECIAL SESSION OCOEE CITY COMMISSION September 23,2009, at 6:50 P.M. I I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Vandergrift called the special session to order at 6:50 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of City Hall. City Clerk Eikenberry called roll and declared a quorum present. Roll Call: Commissioner Hood, Commissioner Wilsen, Mayor Vandergrift, Commissioner Keller, and Commissioner Johnson. Also Present: City Manager Frank, City Attorney Rosenthal, City Clerk Eikenberry, Police Chief Brown II. APPROVAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF OCOEE AND THE CITY OF MAITLAND. Chief Brown explained that this Memorandum of Understanding is necessary to meet the October 1, 2009 deadline for moving the police dispatching services. There is a temporary solution to connect some of the City's equipment to some of the equipment in Apopka that belongs to Maitland. He stated there is no financial impact; this is part of the original agreement to move all of our equipment to Apopka. City Manager Frank noted that the memorandum was in draft form and wanted to clarify that there are no additional changes. City Attorney Rosenthal stated that Maitland staff and attorney agreed with the Memorandum and it has been finalized with no changes; we are awaiting approval from their Commission as well. Commissioner Keller, seconded bv Commissioner Hood, moved to approve the Memorandum of UnderstandinQ between the City of Ocoee and the City of Maitland as presented bv staff. Motion carried 5-0.
