Subject: Approval of the reallocation of funds from the Windstone Reclaimed Retrofit project to the
Reclaimed Water System Retrofit for Wedgewood Commons and Whitehill Subdivisions.
Background Summary:
The Reclaimed Water System Retrofit for Wedgewood Commons and Whitehill Subdivisions is a retrofit
project which provides 156 residential homes with reuse water for irrigation. The system connects to the
existing system at White Road and Clarke Road. The project also provides a 16" reclaimed main to
facilitate future system expansion.
Change Order NO.1 with Schuller Contractors, Inc for this project was approved by the City Commission
at the July 20,2010 City Commission meeting. The total cost of this change order was $34,764.45.
The Windstone Reclaimed Retrofit project has been completed and has $43,307.80 remaining in the
project budget. Staff proposes the reallocation of $37,764.45 from the Windstone Reclaimed Retrofit
project to cover the change order for the Reclaimed Water System Retrofit for Wedgewood Commons
and Whitehill Subdivisions project.
Issue:
The Engineering Department and Utility Departments has proposed the reallocation of funds to cover
Change Order NO.1 to the Windstone Reclaimed Retrofit project to the Reclaimed Water System Retrofit
for Wedgewood Commons and Whitehill Subdivisions project as approved by the City Commission on
July 20, 2010
Recommendations
The Engineering and Utilities Departments recommend that the City Commission approve the
reallocation of $37,764.45 from the Windstone Reclaimed Retrofit project to the Reclaimed Water
System Retrofit for Wedgewood Commons and Whitehill Subdivisions.
