The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board was called to order
at 7 :70 7. r. f., I r. Bowness.
1. Public Hearing on Julco Corporation, 74 -1
rr. Julian from Julco Corporation came before the board with
his request to permit C -3 use in an I -1 District for a truck
repair shoe on Bowness Road.
Mr. Lait read the Zoning Regulations on I -1 and 1-3 Zoning).
He indicated that Mr. Julian was misinformed of the type cf
zoning he needed and that I -1 is more restrictive.
r. riamaa stated that I -3 Zoning would open the door for a
trucking terminal in which he was not in favor and that it
should go under a non-conforming use to be a garage only
with a place inside for the caretaker.
Comm. Lyle and Comm. Harper were present. Comm. Lyle said
that the only alternative would be by a variance. Comm.
Harper does not believe the City has the roads to handle the
heavy traffic and that it should be strictly light.
Vr. Lait made the motion to deny the request, seconded by
Mr. Thomas.
Ler Mr. Bowness feels that since the request was denied and that
f Julian was misinformed that he should be reimbursed his
:100.00 for Petition 74 -1. Mr. Lait stated that regardless
of stipulations there were no objectors present at the hearing.

they should be as strict as the County as far as paving the
road is concerned. Comm. Lyle said that the zoning needed was
I -3 on a variance. rr. Thomas said he was opposed to I -3.
Comm. Lyle at this point felt that rr. Julian's 3100.00 should
be refunded.
fYr. Lait restated his motion to deny the request and return the
100.00 to Mr. Julian because of error. Mr. Thomas seconded
the motion. Motion carried. No nays. Comm. Lyle told
Fr. Julian he could report to the Board of Adjustments if he
wanted a variance.
f .tr. Lait made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Carter.
Being no further business, meeting adjourned at 8 :55 P. N.
