PZ 08-29-1974 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD HELD AUGUST 29, 1974 Members Present: Bowness, Lait, Turner, McRobert and Thomas. Members Absent: Brooklyn and Carter. The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board was called to order by Mr. Bowness at 7:30 P. M. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. 1. The first item on the agenda was a Public Hearing on Petition 74 -10, a petition requesting a zoning change from R1A to R1 on lots 1 -119 in Foxfire Subdivision to construct homes of 1200 sq. ft. to 1000 sq. ft. of living area. Mr. Amick reviewed the board and listeners present of his plans for said area. He explained that the houses would be expandable and the type of house the majority of people could afford. Following brief discussion, citizen Frank Smith withdrew his comment from the previous meeting. The question of what type of income an individual would need was brought up. Mr. Amick indicated that it would depend on the type of credit rating an individual has. Being no further comments, Mr. McRobert made the motion to recommend to the Council, Mr. Amick's request to rezone from R1A to R1 with the stipulations that there be 100 ft. right of way and 50 ft. setback from the center line on Wurst Road. Also entrance and exit right on Adair Road. Mr. Thomas seconded motion. Vote unanimous. 2. Glenn Miller appeared before the board for approval to put a trailer on a lot on Franklin St. for a used car lot. Mr. Miller told the board that he wanted to use the trailer for an office. There was a brief discussion on lot size, drainage and sanitary facilities. Mr. Lait read the zoning regulations requirements for drainage and sanitation. The zoning regulations read that each mobile home in any district shall have sanitary and drainage facilities approved by the Planning and Zoning Commis- sion, County Health Dept., Building Inspector and City Engineer. Also, the mobile home must bear the State of Florida Standards Seal to be permitted anywhere in Ocoee, The ordinance prohibits permanent use of a mobile home for a business. Following the reading of the ordinance, Mr. Miller left and further discussion ceased. 3. Emilio A. Cosio, Dick Davis and Sonny Howard came before the board with annexation and zoning. Dick Davis brought pre - liminary plans before the board for a mobile home park to be located on Crown Point Road and Fuller Cross Road. There was much discussion on the request of annexing the Fuller Cross portion into the city. Mr. Bowness said that legal advise would be needed on the subject and the City Attorney would have to be con- tacted before any action could be taken. Mr. McRobert felt that a work session was necessary. The board agreed to have a work session Tuesday night of Sept. 3. Mr. Turner made the motion to adjourn. Mr. Lait seconded the motion.
