PZ 11-12-1974 Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board Held
November 12, 1974
Members Present: Bowness, Brooklyn, Carter, McRobert, Thomas, Lait.
Member Absent: None.
Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board was called to order at
7:45 P. M. by Mr. Bowness. Minutes of the previous meeting were
read. Mr. McRobert moved to accept minutes. Mr. Brooklyn seconded.
Vote unanimous.
1. Mr. Joe Kendall appeared before the board in regards to rezoning
the Hidden Oaks Project, a 177 acre track on Mims Road and Spring
Lake. The property is presently zoned R1AA and R1AAA.
Mr. Kendall proposes to rezone residential lots into 96 (1) acre
lots and leaving the condominium and apartment zoning as is.
Mr. Kendall indicated that he wanted to put houses with 1000 sq.
ft. of living area on the lots.
Following much discussion, the board agreed to have a work session
on the 21st of November with all Councilmen and the City Engineer
present.
2. Discussion was brought up of reappointing John Carter to the
Planning and Zoning Botird. Mr. Last motioned to recommend
to the Council the reappointment of Mr. Carter to the board.
Mr. McRobert seconded.. Vote unanimous.
Mr. Lait motioned to adjourn meeting, seconded by Mr. Brooklyn.
Vote unanimous. Being no further business, meeting adjourned at
9:35 P. M.
