PZ 06-10-1975 MINUTES OF THE PLANNING & ZONING BOARD MEETING HELD JUNE 10, 1975 lw PRESENT: CH. BOWNESS; MEMBERS BROOKLYN, LAIT, CARTER, THOMAS, MCROBERT, TURNER ABSENT: NONE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:00 P.M. BY CHAIRMAN BOWNESS. MR. WARD THEISEN CAME BEFORE THE BOARD REQUESTING THAT HIS PROPERTY ON NORTH LAKEWOOD (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE BELTZ PROPERTY) BE REZONED TO 1 -3. HE ANNEXED INTO THE CITY IN 1969 WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT IT WOULD BE ZONED INDUSTRIAL. MR. TURNER MADE A MOTION TO REZONE THE PROPERTY TO I -3. MR. THOMAS OFFERED TO SECOND IF MR. TURNER WOULD STRIKE THE "RE" IN RE —ZONE, AS THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE BEFORE THE BOARD THAT THE PROPERTY WAS ZONED INDUSTRIAL IN THE FIRST PLACE. MR. TURNER THEN WITHDREW HIS MOTION. MR. THOMAS MADE A MOTION THAT THE BOARD DELAY A DECISION UNTIL THE RECORDS CAN BE RESEARCHED AND ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE THEISEN PROPERTY TO DATE CAN BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BOARD. MR. TURNER SECONDED. UNANIMOUS IN FAVOR. MR. LAIT SUGGESTED THAT THE BOARD REQUEST THE CITY MANAGER TO DO THE RESEARCH NECESSARY. MR. JERRY SCOTT OF 500 APRICOT DRIVE RETURNED BEFORE THE BOARD AS REQUESTED AT PREVIOUS MEETING, WHERE HE HAD ASKED PERMISSION TO BUILD AN 8' HIGH tow CONCRETE BLOCK FENCE AROUND HIS LOT. MR. THOMAS CAUTIONED MR. SCOTT THAT IN PUTTING UP A WALL HE SHOULD ALLOW FOR AIR FLOW WITH LOUVRES OR THE LIKE; AND HE ALSO CALLED MR. SCOTT'S ATTENTION TO EASEMENTS. HE STATED THAT AN ACCEPTABLE PLAN WOULD BE A 6' OPAQUEING WALL FROM A POINT OPPOSITE THE NORTH BUILDING WALL ALONG WEST LINE, ALONG NORTH LINE, ALONG EAST LINE TO A POINT OPPOSITE NORTHEAST CORNER OF BUILDING RETAINING FREE AIR PASSAGE. ANY THING ELSE AROUND PROPERTY SHALL NOT BE MORE THAN 3' CHAIN LINK FENCE TO A POINT 25' NORTH OF SOUTHEAST CORNER TO A POINT 25' WEST OF SOUTHEAST CORNER (BEING POINTS ALONG 2 LINES FACING ON STREET RIGHT OF WAYS AND THUS LEAVING A DIAGONAL AREA ON INTERSECTION OF THE STREETS AS PER ORDINANCE.) MR. LAIT SUGGESTED TO MR. SCOTT THAT HE SHOULD GET FORMULA FOR AIR FLOW FROM MR. BEERY4,ND PRESENT A PLAT PLAN SHOWING COMPLETE STRUCTURAL LAYOUT TO THE BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR HIS BUILDING PERMIT.
