Background Summary:
The Hendrix Family is using a City -owned building to hold a special event; Surprise 75 Birthday Party for Tom
Hendrix. The family is requesting permission to serve a limited amount of beer and wine at this event. Past
policy excluded the use of alcohol in a city -owned facility without specific approval of the city commission.
Issue:
Should the Mayor and commission grant approval for the serving of beer and wine at the Ison Center.
Recommendations
Staff recommends the Mayor and Commission consider approving the request of the Hendrix Family.
