FOR THE OCOEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 9, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
Fred Wilsen conducted the meeting and called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in the Fire Station One
Training Room located at 563 South Bluford Avenue.
CACOFD Recording Secretary Gail McDonald called roll and declared a quorum was present.
PRESENT: Chairman Wilsen: Members: Chanel!, Lawrie, Richardson, Vaughn, Commissioner Johnson
ABSENT: Members: Spears
GUEST(S): None
Approval of Minutes: November 10, 2011
Minutes approved 1 by Lawrie and 2 ° by Chanel!
Motion carried: 5 -0
Old Business:
Chairman Wilsen reminded members of the Spring Fling on March 10, 2012 and requested help from
CACOFD members for the Chili Cook off on March 17, 2012.
Members were asked to recruit friends to join the CACOFD Committee.
Member Wayne Vaughn will be helping out the Fire Department by joining the Uniform Committee.
New Business:
At this time there has not been a Vice Chairman elected.
Members vote for Firefighter of the Quarter to receive a $50.00 gift certificate.
Motion approved by 1 Wilsen and 2 °d by Lawrie.
Motion approved 5 -0
Firefighter of the Year — members voted to do this Quarterly at this time..
Other Business: None
Combining CACOPD and CACOFD -- Members decided to work together in the volunteer programs each
department has to offer and join groups on March 10 & 17 events.
Chief Pete McNeil tells CACOFD members how much he appreciates them attending the meetings.
Minutes of Citizen Advisory Council for Ocoee Fire Department
February 9, 2012
Tont Smothers Lt /Paramedic, Training Officer gave a 3 year commitment to the Fire Chief.
Ocoee Fire Department has a 1 year contract with Rural Metro Ambulance.
A Fire Department sub station is in the works for the West Road location.

Any additional meeting dates will be announced.
