FOR THE OCOEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
MEETING HELD AUGUST 9, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
Member Wilsen conducted the meeting and called the meeting to order at 7:OOpm in the Station 25 Training
Room located at 563 South Bluford Avenue.
Recording Secretary Hall called roll and declared a quorum was present.
PRESENT: Members: Chairman Wilsen, Lawrie, Vaughn, Richardson, Chief McNeil and Board Clerk
Cam Hall.
ABSENT: Spears, Channel and Commissioner Johnson.

Approval of Minutes: February 9, 2012 and May 10, 2012 minutes were approved.
Motion approved 1 s` by Vaughn and 2n by Richardson.
Motion carried 4 -0
Members tried voting to elect a Vice Chairman to the committee.
Members were unable to pick a Vice Chairman.
Discussed Founders Day event and helping the firefighters with their part of Founders Day.
Discussed Firefighters of the Quarter for next meeting.
Discussed the radios with Battalion Chief Reed that there were no problems.
Discussed the Fire Explorers program.
Discussed doing something for fire employees that are getting ready to retire.
Discussed Fire Station 38 progress.
Discussed the 9/11 piece of steel that the fire department has received.
Old Business: - .Chairman Wilsen discussed nominating a Vice Chairman and was unsuccessful at getting a
volunteer.
