11-08-12 MINUTES OF THE CITIZEN ADVISORY COUNCIL
FOR THE OCOEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 8, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
Member Wilsen conducted the meeting and called the meeting to order at 7:05pm in the Station 25 Training
Room located at 563 South Bluford Avenue.
Recording Secretary Hall called roll and declared a quorum was present.
PRESENT: Members: Chairman Wilsen, Vaughn, Richardson, Chief McNeil and Board Clerk Cam Hall.
ABSENT: Spears, Channel, Lawrie and Commissioner Johnson.

Pledge of Allegiance
Approval of Minutes: August 9, 2012 minutes were approved.
Motion approved l' by Vaughn and 2 by Richardson.
Motion carried 3 - 0
Old Business: - .Chairman Wilsen discussed nominating a Vice Chairman and Member Vaughn accepted.
New Business - :
Member Vaughn discussed the recognizing of retiring employees. The committee has bought a statue for
Ken Strickland's retirement. Chief McNeil will be presenting the axe also.
Member Vaughn nominated Inspector Sorenson as the next Firefighter of the Quarter. No objections.
Presentation will be on December 18, 2012.
Member Vaughn also had ribbons made up for the 9/11 steel to be handed out.
Chief McNeil discussed putting something out about the firefighter of the quarter so anyone can nominate
someone.
Chief McNeil also let the committee know that Station 38 is in there soft opening.
Member Vaughn discussed putting display units in the front lobby of station 25.
Motion by Richardson second by Vaughn
Motion carried 3 -0
